Lord Executor – “Three Friends’ Advice”

Post image for Lord Executor – “Three Friends’ Advice”

Like his contemporaries Atilla the Hun and The Roaring Lion, Philip Garcia chose his stage name to strike awe and fear into his musical competitors. As Lord Executor, he performed calypso music from its infancy through its widespread acceptance. “Three Friends’ Advice” is a classic calypso number, crackling with wit, rhythm and wisdom, recorded by Lord Executor and his band in New York in 1937. Enjoy!
